Citrus Notes

Citrus notes are the bright, fresh opening of a fragrance, providing an immediate lift and sparkling personality. They are typically found in the top layer, creating the first impression of a scent. Ingredients like bergamot, lemon, orange, and grapefruit usually last 30 minutes to 1 hour on skin, blending seamlessly into the heart notes for a smooth transition.

Fruity Notes

Fruity notes contribute to the heart of a fragrance, alongside florals and herbs & spices. They bring brightness, juiciness, and playful vibrancy, adding personality and lift to the scent. Common fruity ingredients like berries, apple, pear, and peach typically last 2–6 hours on skin, blending beautifully with other heart notes to create a balanced, harmonious fragrance.

Floral Heart Notes

Floral notes form an essential part of the heart of a fragrance, alongside fruits and herbs & spices. They bring elegance, femininity, and vibrancy — the personality and soul of the scent. Common florals like jasmine, rose, ylang-ylang, and violet typically last 2–6 hours on skin, blending beautifully with other heart notes to create a balanced, harmonious fragrance.

Herbaceous Heart Notes

Herbs and spices contribute to the heart of a fragrance, alongside florals and fruits. They bring warmth, depth, and character — the personality and essence that gives the fragrance body and richness. Ingredients like cardamom, tonka bean, vanilla, honey, and brown sugar typically last 2–8 hours on skin, blending beautifully with other heart notes to create a balanced and distinctive scent.

Musks

Musks are warm, sensual, and long-lasting base notes that help anchor and enhance the other elements of a fragrance. Traditionally derived from natural sources, most modern musks are safe, synthetic, or plant-derived and are widely used across designer and luxury perfumes. They act as natural fixatives, helping your scent linger on skin and fabrics for hours — or even months — while adding depth, softness, and elegance to the overall composition.

Woody and Herbaceous Base Notes

Base notes are the foundation of a fragrance, providing depth, richness, and longevity. In concentrated form, some base notes can last up to 4,000 hours on fabrics or in fragrance oils, acting as natural fixatives that anchor and stabilize the lighter top and middle notes. Often warm, woody, resinous, or musky, base notes create a harmonious and enduring scent experience that lingers beautifully over time.

Aroma Chemicals

These ingredients are commonly used in all designer and luxury fragrances worldwide. In fact, the largest perfume houses often use them in even higher concentrations. They are completely safe and essential for creating long-lasting, balanced scents. We source our aroma chemicals from trusted suppliers across the globe — from New Zealand to the United States — ensuring quality, consistency, and the perfect complement to our natural essential oils.
